In 1533 King Henry VIII declared himself to be the head of the Catholic Church in England, thus unseating Pope Clement VII to establish a church which was no longer Catholic. He confiscated the churches and all church properties including monasteries and convents. He then required all bishops of the Catholic Church to sign an ‘Oath of Supremacy’ recognizing him as head of the church in England and thereby making them bishops of his new church. Anyone refusing to sign the oath would be beheaded. Only one bishop in all of England refused, St. John Fisher who was martyred for the true Church. Catholic laity were required to sign an ‘Oath of Loyalty’ which resulted in the King’s former chancellor, St. Thomas More being beheaded for refusing to sign. At the risk of being executed the priests who remained faithful became part of an underground Catholic Church. It was illegal for them to say Mass or to administer the other Sacraments and any Catholic priest found doing so could be tortured or killed. Because their seminaries were closed down, the Church established a seminary in Rome to train priests for the underground Church. At the risk of their lives they secretly returned to England to provide the essential Sacraments to the faithful.
Historically, during the most severe epidemics in Europe, bishops and priests were willing to risk their lives to ensure that the faithful received the Sacraments. During the genuine plague pandemic in Milan of 1576, Bishop St. Charles Borromeo, did not suspend Masses. He worried about the spiritual needs of the people facing death that they might be deprived of the Sacraments and He solicited any priests who were willing to volunteer for ministering to the sick. When there were insufficient priests, he assured them, “… then I myself, who will be going out among you every day, on account of the sick, will be there…I will willingly come to your aid. I offer myself to you right now as a minister of the Sacraments…” (Msgr. Richard Antall, Angelus News, Mar. 2020). The people who contracted this plague would have been facing almost certain death.
In the year 2020, Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau declared a state of emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With this supposed threat to the health of the country’s citizens, he suspended their rights guaranteed under the ‘Charter of Rights and Freedoms’ and attributed to himself the powers of an absolute dictator. Being an admitted great admirer of Chairman Jin Ping of Communist China, this was like a dream come true for Trudeau. To secure and maintain his power, he wanted to instill terror of catching Covid-19 in the heart of every citizen and convince them that only by following his dictates would they survive the pandemic. He would be their savior and the source of their consolation when he delivered the “vaccine”.
The main obstacle to Trudeau’s plan was the Catholic Church. He could not have the people turning to the Sacraments of the Church for consolation or to hear that God is the source of all consolation or to hear Jesus tell them, “Be not afraid, I am with you”. Therefore it was necessary for Chairman Trudeau to take control of The Catholic Church in Canada and turn it into a “State Religion”. This is the same Trudeau who defying the true head of the Church, Jesus Christ, proposes abortion on demand, euthanasia, same sex marriage and transgenderism, all of which are diametrically opposed to the teachings of the Catholic Church. As head of the new ‘State Religion’, Trudeau has assumed absolute authority over bishops and priests. If he says to close the churches, refuse to say Holy Mass, refuse the Sacraments of Baptism, Confession and the Sacrament of the Sick to people, then he shall be obeyed without question.
It appears that he was able to obtain the bishops’ full cooperation in the takeover along with their commitment of obedience. Unlike King Henry, there has been no report of Chairman Trudeau threatening to behead the bishops but it appears that his control may have to do with funding that the Canadian Council of Catholic Bishops have been and are receiving from the government. Not having a single St. John Fisher among them, the threat of losing money seems to have been all that was necessary for their complete capitulation. To ensure an ongoing supply of pieces of silver, the bishops have abandoned their flocks and affirmed Trudeau’s assertion that the services of the Catholic Church with its Sacraments are non-essential. In other words the bishops are delivering a message to faithful Catholics that God is not essential. What is essential now is to be completely obedient, not to the authority of the Church, but to Chairman Trudeau. Baptism, the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of the Sick and Confession have been replaced with washing hands, wearing masks, maintaining social distance and being baptized with an experimental drug which they want to call a vaccine.
Trudeau’s takeover of the Catholic Church in Canada was made easy due to the fact that it had been infiltrated sixty years before by a heretical movement known as Modernism. Modernists lacked a faith in the Supernatural aspects of religion and over time eroded that faith in many of the laity. The heresy grew out of the Protestant Revolt and the French Revolution and was condemned in 1907 by Pope St. Pius X. Pius made a heroic effort to stamp it out by requiring all bishops, priests, theologians and catechists to sign an “Oath Against Modernism”. However, this requirement was dropped in 1965 after Vatican II and the heresy returned with a vengeance. By the time of the Trudeau takeover, the Church in Canada was almost entirely Modernist.
The disastrous decline of the Catholic Church in Canada is largely attributable to Modernist bishops, priests and theologians who abandoned Christ to embrace the secular world. This shrunken apostate church was in prime condition for a secular takeover where former Catholic bishops would be required to bow before Caesar (Chairman Trudeau). The Catholic laity have been abandoned by wolves in shepherds' clothing and deprived of the essential Sacraments instituted by Christ as the means for the salvation of their souls.
The damage done to the faith of Catholics under the dictatorship of Justin Trudeau has been astronomical. The survival of the Catholic Church in Canada will probably require that those who remain true to the Faith search out a faithful bishop from somewhere to organize an “Underground Catholic Church”. The priests for this authentic Church will probably celebrate Masses, hear Confessions and administer the other Sacraments at the risk of their lives.
According to Statistics Canada, the fatality rate for people who contracted Covid-19, was 2.3%. The average age of people dying from Covid-19 was 83.3 years. There have been 0 instances of deaths from Covid-19 for children under the age of 12 years. Statistically, anyone under the age of 80 who contracts the Covid-19 virus will almost certainly survive without the supposed vaccine. Do these circumstances warrant nationwide injections with an experimental drug?
